Chris 'Fender' Black has been playing guitar since 1955.  Completely self taught, he is one of the original pioneer guitarists of skiffle, Rock 'n' Roll and R&B.  He sites one of his early influences as Scotty Moore, and his roots are without doubt in Rock 'n' Roll

Chris Black has never stopped performing and is now recognised as being one of the most talented and naturally gifted artists in the business today.  His beloved Fender Stratocaster has not left his side since he purchased it in 1963; in fact he is so in love with it, in 1995 he married it !!

During his long and illustrious career, Chris has performed with almost every British and US artist and group, had hit record success, written and recorded his own material, appeared on television and  radio, travelled all over the UK Europe and around the world performing all types of music but has never strayed too far away from Rock 'n' Roll.  To say Chris Black is versatile is an understatement of the highest degree; this man is a  perfectionist at his chosen craft and is known and highly respected throughout the music business.

Such is his versatility he can easily diversify to playing any type of music.  Listen to his mind blowing recording of '3.30 Blues', his mellow version of the Santo & Johnny hit 'Sleepwalk' or his tongue in cheek but exquisite rendition of 'Ghostriders in the Sky', which incidentally also incorporates 'Rawhide'!

His current touring show 'C'mon Everybody' is now playing to packed audiences throughout the UK and Europe, and is a must see performance of non stop classic hits.
Chris Black has remendous stage presence and captivates his audiences with his charisma and charm.  To quote one write up "This guy just oozes talent".

As for the future, Chris says he simply wants to continue spreading his unique brand of happiness and entertaining audiences; and for the 2 hour plus 'C'mon Everybody' show, he without question fulfils that ambition - he never leaves the stage!

Chris 'Fender' Black was born to Rock ' n' Roll, and there is plenty more to come yet!!
